Here are Rogue Mega Altaria’s counters and weaknesses in Pokémon Legends: Z-A:
- Altaria type – Dragon/Fairy-type.
- Altaria is weak against – Poison, Steel, Ice, and Fairy-types.
- Altaria is resistant to – Fighting, Fire, Bug, Water, Grass, Dark, and Electric-types.

Rogue Mega Altaria recommended level
Rogue Mega Altaria is Level 53 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, therefore мы рекомендуем находиться между 51 и 58 уровнями. You can challenge this Rogue Mega Pokémon while being slightly underleveled for it, but make sure your party of Pokémon caters to Altaria’s weaknesses.

It’s a good rule of thumb to collect and save your Mega Power for Mega Evolving a Pokémon of your choice in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Occasionally, the Trainer you’re fighting alongside might suggest you use some of your Mega Power on a Plus Move – an enhanced, more powerful version of one of your Pokémon’s existing moves – but this is rarely worth it during Rogue Mega battles.
Instead, you should be saving all Mega Power to Mega Evolve one of your Pokémon, and if you’re lucky, you may even get to Mega Evolve them more than once before the fight is over. Spending your Mega Power on Plus Moves means you’ll just have to wait a little longer before Mega Evolving.
On top of that, as you make progress in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, it slowly becomes increasingly important to have a variety of leveled-up Pokémon that cater to most, if not all, type weaknesses. This means you’ll never be stuck on a battle for long.
In Rogue Mega Altaria’s instance, you want to use Poison, Steel, Ice, and Fairy-type Pokémon to quickly deplete her HP, and avoid using Fighting, Fire, Bug, Water, Grass, Dark, and Electric-type Pokémon where possible as Mega Altaria is stronger against these.
Some example Pokémon you could level up and use are Mawile, who rather conveniently is Steel/Fairy-type, catering to two of Altaria’s weaknesses. At this point, you’ll have also completed a battle against Rogue Mega Mawile and will have the Mega Evolution Stone needed to Mega Evolve Mawile in battle.
On top of Mawile, you could also consider bringing along fan favourites such as Gengar and Gardevoir, the Sylveon and/or Glaceon evolutions, and more. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of appropriate Pokémon to choose from for this fight.
You’ll also want to prepare for Rogue Mega Altaria’s moveset. The attacks (and special abilities) she uses are as follows:
- Dragon Pulse (Dragon-type) – Altaria fires a lengthy blue jetstream towards opponents in front of them.
- Лунный взрыв (тип Феи) – Altaria flies into the air and summons a large blue/purple orb that flies towards the target, damaging them upon contact.
