Mega Camerupt counters and weaknesses in Pokémon Go
The fastest way to collect Mega Camerupt Energy is to defeat one in a Mega Raid. Below you’ll find the counters and weaknesses for Mega Camerupt to help in your Pokémon Go fight:
- Mega Camerupt types — Fire and Ground-type
- Mega Camerupt is double weak against — Водные атаки

- Mega Camerupt Mega counters — Primal Kyogre, first and foremost. Mega Swampert, Mega Blastoise and Mega Gyarados are your next best shots. All of these should be running Water-type Fast and Charged attacks.

Everything we know about Camerupt
Camerupt is the evolved form of Numel, the Numb Pokémon. This dromedary is a little droll — it’s a camel with a volcano for a hump. Camerupt is slightly more interesting in that it now has two volcanoes.
It’s also the signature Pokémon of the Team Magma, the villains of Pokémon Ruby. This is really driven home by the fact that its Mega Evolution has a whopping great M on its forehead, which raises many a question. Are all Mega Camerupt inherently evil? Is Team Magma so predestined that it worked its way into Numel’s genetics? Just what is Arceus playing at here? There are too many questions for such a bad Pokémon…
Weirdly, despite Camerupt having two humps, its Mega Evolution reverts back to one. We’re not quite sure why — the official Pokédex entry for Camerupt states ‘It is well known that the humps on its back erupt every 10 years’, but doesn’t mention why it has two humps. Meanwhile, Mega Camerupt’s entry states ‘The humps on Camerupt’s back are formed by a transformation of its bones’. This is an interesting departure from the usual Mega treatment, where the Pokémon just gets more of whatever makes it unique (like Mega Blastoise growing extra cannons).
