A new update is coming to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle — and if you liked the game’s ending, you might get a lot more of it. Hidden behind a new challenge, you’ll be able to find something new.
An update is coming on October 10th, with a treasure trove of new features. This includes a New Game+ mode, which will give the game a new surprise at the end.
The update is a part of MachineGames’ 15th anniversary celebration, giving their latest hit a special touch-up. The update will be launching for free on all platforms.
On top of the new mode, Indy himself can also see some changes, thanks to a new outfit in a classic style, one that’s a bit more climate-appropriate than leather.
His getup from Raiders of the Lost Ark will be available from the Outfits tab.
New voice-overs will also be available in different languages.
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle New Game+ Explained
New Game+ will be available from the main menu, but only once you’ve completed the game at least once. Select a save slot containing a completed save game file, and you’ll have the option to start your new game+ run.
In this run, you’ll have access to four things you picked up on your journey so far. Unused Adventure Points, medicine bottles and local currency all carry over, and your unlocked adventure books will remain accessible.
MachineGames does warn that, because you’ll be a lot stronger this time around, you’ll want to crank up the difficulty of the game to match in order to have the most fun experience.
As for that new ending, the only way to see it is through new game+, and in true cinematic fashion, it’ll come in the form of a post-credits sequence. If you haven’t played since release, this would also be a good time to experience the game’s new content, faults and all.
The exact contents of this new ending will have to wait until tomorrow to get uncovered, but in their coverage, IGN suspects that it’ll contain some kind of tease for a possible sequel. The devs describe it as a «brand new ending sequence», and little else.
